Welcome to TRA. My name is Steven Browne, and i’m the founding partner of TRA. I personally have been working with all types, sizes and types of businesses over the past 15 or so years. We develop insurance programs to transfer risk. Today in the information age, there is a whole new set of exposures that face companies that develop technology, as well as the companies that rely on this technology for their business. I think this statement represents just about everyone who is in business today! I’m definitely not a negative person, but I do believe it is just a matter of time before most  of us experience one of these, disruptions, or invasions of privacy in our business or personal life.  We must be prepared. In business especially,  there are a whole bunch of laws that our government is quietly putting in place that will affect how you have to respond if you compromise someone else’s data or personal information. This could put your company out of business if you are not prepared. The typical business owners/ general liability policy that most of the companies today have in place, specifically exclude most types of claims that arise from data compromise. I’ll bet that 90% of the businesses today don’t even know this, and they won’t find out until they experience a claim, and their broker says “no coverage.” Our mission here at TRA is to get the word out, and educate as many IT companies and business owners as possible as to whats coming around the bend. We will blog,  and shoot videos about current exposures, claim scenario’s, and how we can transfer these risk’s to insurance companies. We will do our best to keep all this information current.
